The design work of Brevard, N.C.’s Bill Grant has won recognition from shows, publications and associations. The Choate – compact, cozy and stylish – is a strong example of his feel for a beautiful, practical home.

Now with 24 years as head of his own firm, Bill Grant of national award-winning Grant and Grant Design Group in Brevard, N.C., began his professional career in Ocala, Fla., working with an architect while a student at Central Florida Community College. He later moved to Atlanta and expanded his expertise with two firms whose main projects included shopping centers and office and apartment complexes.
Tired of commercial work, Grant relocated to Blairsville, Ga., to join John Calvin Morris, whose specialty was high-end home design, an area Grant fell in love with.
