Paul Lundquist has been forging iron full-time since 1973. For more than 20 years he has concentrated on architectural details, mainly railings, staircases and balconies, door hardware, weathervanes, lanterns etc. He also designs and makes furniture and interior pieces including tables, fireplace tools and screens.

His feeling is that when the artist/craftsman is invited to the building design process early, the whole project can benefit. As architects, owners and builders refine the design, the artist is able to contribute more as a collaborator than they can as merely a supplier chosen after designs are concluded.
