Joe Ransmeier crafts a variety of custom wood products for residences, institutions and commercial applications. His work is known for careful attention to detail. Pieces can be built with Appalachian hardwoods, softwoods, plywoods, and composite materials to fulfill the client’s needs. If possible, finished pieces have a clear oil or surface finish to let the natural beauty of the wood show, but painted and laminate-covered wood can also be produced. Whenever possible Joe uses waterborne finishes and seeks to work in the most environmentally conscious way available.
